January 8, 2003 - Larry Mantle discusses both President Bush’s and the Democratic plans for American economic stimulus. Bush unfurled his economic stimulus package today. In it, he proposes to cut the tax on corporate stock dividends, advocates a $400 increase deduction per child for families with children, and offers “quick tax relief” for married couples. This is a $670 billion economic stimulus package, to take place over ten years. What does all of this mean in plain English? And how will it affect you?
