of finance provides a variety of information on the fiscal
health of California including finance reports and information
on the State budget. They provide demographic information
for the State. You will also find Capital Outlay and Infrastructure
reports at this website.

Legislative Analysts Office The
LAO is an independent body that provides fiscal and policy
advice to the California Legislature. It is know for non-partisan
analysis of the state budget. They also provide analysis
of ballot propositions. Visit their "products"
section to download their publications.

Statistical Abstract provides an annual overview of a variety
of different datasets about California. Topics include population,
labor force and employment, geography, finance, and more.

Statistical Abstract provides an annual overview of a variety
of different datasets about the United States overall and
individual states and territories. Topics include population,
labor force and employment, geography, finance, and more.
- The
Data Source Handbook Over the
20 years that the State Census Data Center has been in existence,
it has developed anetwork of data providers in federal and
State agencies. The Data Source Handbook is an effort to
share this list of data providers with other data users.
It includes source names, addresses, web addresses and phone
numbers listed in alphabetical order and by subject. The
resource book is a publication of the California Department
of Finance Demographic Research Unit.

provided by the University of California Hastings College
of the Law provides information on California ballot propositions
back to 1911.

The PPIC is dedicated to independent, objective, non-partisan
research on economic, soical and political issues in California.
They offer a variety of research briefs, working papers
and other publications on a wide varitey of topics including
infrastructure, demographics, education, CA state budget,

Energy Comission is the state's primary energy policy and
planning agency

Consumer Power and Financing Authority
This organization is charge with insuring
that California has a sufficient surplus of power so that
the states does not have to face power outages and high
prices.

California Public Utilities Comission regulates privately
owned electric, telecomunications, natural gas, water, and
passenger transportation comapanies in addition to household
goods movers and the safety of rail transit.

Government. The site includes information and publications
regarding electricity, natural gas, petroleum, alternative
and renewable energy sources.

The objectives of UCEI's research are to solve important
energy problems, enrich the faculty through the intellectual
challenges inherent in these problems, and increase their
research funding opportunities. Energy Institute research
covers the general areas of resources and supply technologies,
energy use efficiency, and the impacts of energy use on
health, the environment, and the economy.

Bureau of Transportation Statistics
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics, a part of the U.S.
Department of Transportation provides a variety of information
and data regarding transport of people and goods within
the United States.

Statistics Highway Statistics
is a publication of the US Department of Transportation:
Federal Highway Administration. This series consists of
annual publications that report data on motor fuel; motor
vehicles; driver licensing; highway-user taxation; State
and local government highway finance; highway mileage, and
Federal aid for highways.

Transportation Library The National
Transprotation library is a repository of information from
a variety of different public and private agencies. The
goal of the library is to facilitate the exchange of information
and materials.

Bridge Inventory The National
Bridge Inventory, a product of the Federal Highway Administration,
provides state level inventory of bridges back to 1992.
The inventory includes enumeration of bridges across states
by owner, type, construction materal, performance and deficiency.

offers uniform financial and market/traffic statistical
economic data on individual air carriers and the air transportation
industry.

Transportation Institute Their
annual Urban Mobility Study details congestion data or over
